During a meal at the military institute, new recruits offer the seasoned cadets their food. The seasoned cadets tell the new recruits to eat their food. However, they treat Pearce, the only black recruit, differently with racist remarks and actions. This clip can be used to compare implicit and explicit bias in how the white and black cadets, respectively, are treated.
